Hi Nick - I had the same experience when breaking in my TP9SFX. Put a Vortex Venom on it and a tiny but full power green laser on the rail. I'd make an initial run of 10 or 20 rounds each at 3.6, 3.8, 4.0, and 4.2, test fire those over a chrono, and adjust as necessary from there. I do tend to stick to only a couple brands however. I ended up selling it off, just as the P320 X5s came out. Sidebar: the SF stands for Special Forces and we cant figure out the X but were hoping it stands for Xtreme because it adds the porting and optic mount. Guys (and Gals) you will not be disappointed. Was surprised the first time I cleaned it at how easy it was to take down compared to other brands. For that, most casual shooters and even beginners can be pleased with the guns performance and reliability. Acme 135gr RN lipstick 3.7gr Win 231 1.140" = average 129.5pf, Acme 135gr RN red coated lipstick bullet - 3.4gr Tite Group 1.145" = avg 134pf, Blue Bullet 135gr RNFP 3.30gr Tite Group 1.150" - ten shot average 131.5pf (these are 0.355"), Blue Bullet 135gr RNFP 3.7gr Win 231 1.145" - average 132pf. After cleaning, it is great to add lubricant for protection. Because of that, it pairs well with the .115 fiber optic front that is serrated. Walther really didn't see the potential of their own design, but Canik did. OAL 1.110 to 1.120 depending on how it plunks. The primary difference between the Canik TP9SF and TP9SFX is highly observable in their size. I have two and they are my favorite shooters. Unless you have significantly big hands, this gun will suit you. Once done with the cleaning, you can then reassemble the gun. Believe the hype. 1.130, jacketed RMR match winner, 3.9 gr TG, 131 pf from my TP9SFX. With that being said, it is not that difficult to find red dot options for this gun. Great balance, takedown, grips that fit BIG hands, weight, extra long mag release button that my thumb doesn't try to activate during firing and they give you 3 sizes, little tool kit, dot scope risers, and more.
